Mental and physical disability can be very claustrophobic for families and carers. Our hope is that holiday makers at the Thomas Centre will find the peace and tranquillity, the sense of space, the safety and the privacy of our parkland a welcome release from the claustrophobic nature of every day life. We also hope that this experience will contribute to a real quality holiday experience for all your family or group.
The indoor play barn, some 80 meters long and well lit, provides lots of activities including a skittle alley, pool tables, table tennis, and table football as well as somewhere for children and adults alike to just meet and relax. We have been witness to some very serious pool competitions and we were even asked to judge whether one player on the table football was guilty of “tilting” in order to win their match! Competition can get very fierce here but for the most part everyone enjoys the facilities in the Playbarn.
We also have a small selection of bicycles which visitors are welcome to use during their stay.
With all the safe open spaces and drive ways, we are pleased to have seen many young people learn to ride for the first time during their holiday at The Thomas Centre.
