Welcome to The Thomas Centre

A Special Place for Special People

An outstanding holiday park, for those who are affected by autism, epilepsy and other special needs. Providing holidays for families and groups like yours, on a dedicated 25 acre site in a safe & non judgemental environment.

Covid Update November 2021

As we prepare to say goodbye to the last visitors of this season (before we close until Christmas), we must say a huge thank you for all the good wishes that have been extended by our guests to our Team here at The Thomas Centre.

It has been a hell of a time for so many of us and we are just pleased to have come this far, without any serious illness among our staff and our own family.

Visitors this year will have seen that we have gone to exceptional lengths to ensure the highest safety standards.

This includes spraying all beds on changeover days, sterilising all contact points (EN14776 for the technically minded!) and finally steam cleaning all wooden floors throughout, before your arrival.

This has had a small impact on arrival and departure times, but we think these extra measures are worth it.

And from the feedback, our guests also agree.

So, for the most part, we have decided to maintain these standards into 2022 because one thing is for sure, Covid 19 is not done yet.

As the nights grow longer we wish all the very best of health and we look forward to taking down the Halloween decorations, taking in all the outdoor furniture for re-painting/varnishing and getting the Christmas decorations ready in Bill’s Barn.

Till then,

With best wishes,

Richard & Jan, Derrick and Linda and all the TTC Team

The Thomas Centre works on the following principles:

  • We believe that holidays are for the whole family, for the whole group, not just those individuals with special needs. (After all, we spend all our time planning for that person in our lives with special needs and we could all do with a break!)
  • We believe that those who care for people with special needs should be able to enjoy five star facilities. (We are parents ourselves and we like to enjoy good quality facilities!)
  • We believe the more that parents and carers can relax, the better able everyone feels when they return to life’s battles. (Or put another way, if everyone has a good holiday, everyone’s batteries are re-charged!)

We could not find these things when our children were younger.
So, we built The Thomas Centre.
