Welcome to The Thomas Centre

A Special Place for Special People

An outstanding holiday park, for those who are affected by autism, epilepsy and other special needs. Providing holidays for families and groups like yours, on a dedicated 25 acre site in a safe & non judgemental environment.

Covid 19 Update 16th October 2020

Greetings Everyone!

We now have to recognise the new tier levels and at the time of writing, our region remains at medium. If our risk status changes, we will inform you.

For the very high tier only, the guidance is against travelling out of the area. The statement also used on the Government web site is to avoid non- essential travel.

I know from the many conversations we have had with you all, that you view your holiday as essential travel.

So, our position remains unchanged and is simply this. If you have Covid symptoms or are waiting for a test result, please do not travel, please do not bring the virus to our region.

Social distancing and mixing indoors has never been an issue for our customers. As one of our regular customers (who left today to return to Glasgow) said: “Social distancing has been and remains a way of life for most of us, welcome to our world!”

Do please check our availability calendar as we still have some availability in October.

If you have any questions or queries about the measures we have put in place, please do not hesitate to contact us.

As always, thank you all for your continued support.

Best Wishes,

Richard & Jan and The Thomas Centre Team.

The Thomas Centre works on the following principles:

  • We believe that holidays are for the whole family, for the whole group, not just those individuals with special needs. (After all, we spend all our time planning for that person in our lives with special needs and we could all do with a break!)
  • We believe that those who care for people with special needs should be able to enjoy five star facilities. (We are parents ourselves and we like to enjoy good quality facilities!)
  • We believe the more that parents and carers can relax, the better able everyone feels when they return to life’s battles. (Or put another way, if everyone has a good holiday, everyone’s batteries are re-charged!)

We could not find these things when our children were younger.
So, we built The Thomas Centre.
