Welcome to The Thomas Centre

Covid Update 26th February 2021

This is now my 9th Covid update on the website and maybe …. just maybe, it might be our last?

Whatever happens and however long it takes, I am sure we are all “as one” in the hope that this is the last lockdown we ever see.

As I am sure everyone knows, we now have a re-opening date: Monday the 12th April.

In my last post, we had hoped to be re-opening on 26th March, in time for Easter. In the period from 26th March to 12th April, we have had to lose and re-schedule another 33 holiday bookings. But better safe than sorry!

Since Tuesday last, all 33 parties have now been contacted and have re-scheduled their holidays: many of these bookings had already been rescheduled from our first lockdown closure last Easter, so thank you all for your patience!

Subject to any further guidelines, we will be re-opening our pool from the 12th April for private use, on the same basis as before. That is to say, the changing rooms and shower facilities will remain closed for the time being, so you will need to arrive “beach ready” to use the pool. Hand sanitiser must be used by all before entry and there will be on-going sanitising throughout your stay.

At this time, and providing the road map timetable does not change, Bills play-barn will re-open on 17th May, in line with Government restrictions.

Otherwise, all other aspects of your holiday will operate to the same high standards as we implemented last season.

Finally, our district (East Lindsey) yesterday reported one of the lowest counts in the UK with just 49 cases per 100k people.

SPOILER ALERT!

We are in the final stages of upgrading our online availability calendar, which should go live very soon!

This will make it much easier for parties to select the right property for you.

Most importantly, for our many regular visitors, it will make availability date checking for your favourite property so much easier.

Best Wishes,

Richard, Jan and The Thomas Centre Team

The Thomas Centre works on the following principles:

  • We believe that holidays are for the whole family, for the whole group, not just those individuals with special needs. (After all, we spend all our time planning for that person in our lives with special needs and we could all do with a break!)
  • We believe that those who care for people with special needs should be able to enjoy five star facilities. (We are parents ourselves and we like to enjoy good quality facilities!)
  • We believe the more that parents and carers can relax, the better able everyone feels when they return to life’s battles. (Or put another way, if everyone has a good holiday, everyone’s batteries are re-charged!)

We could not find these things when our children were younger.
So, we built The Thomas Centre.
