Local Restaurants
There are no “restaurant quarters” or “bar districts” for miles around, so you might like some good local advice?
Here are some of our local favourites who are all familiar with the needs of our customers.
The Mill House
At the end of our drive (literally), Lee & Sally are our nearest neighbours! Ideal for a short walk on a Summers evening with no reason to drive, what could be better?
Providing good quality food with lots of different seating area’s including an outdoor garden area, there is always a friendly welcome and the dessert menu is to die for!
Also good real ale always on tap and a healthy wine list to choose from.
The Livesey Arms
In our next village, Ludborough (just a couple of miles away), The Livesey has undergone a major overhaul. With open fires, this traditional village pub has been brought back to life and is aimed at the “fine-dining” end of the market.
Chef Agi, originally from Portugal and trained in France and some of the best London hotels, provides an ever-changing and seasonal menu. A great selection of real ale and carefully chosen wines are available to accompany your meal.
Highly recommended.
The Jug & Bottle (Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery)
At Holton le Clay, about five miles away.
A large “themed pub” with a carvery restaurant for those who want easy dining with a lively atmosphere. Lots of pub classic dishes are available, plus freshly made stone baked pizza. Fantastic value for money, running an all day service with excellent wheelchair access and very helpful staff.
Many of our regulars always report back how well this works for them.
Figs Restaurant
Located on the sea-front in Cleethorpes.
We have also enjoyed eating quality food in a “bistro style” restaurant, more suited to adult dining, the menu is innovative and fairly priced. In the evenings they have an excellent and ever changing fish menu.
Figs also has some outdoor tables & chairs if you fancy Al Fresco dining. Generally this restaurant is accessible to all.
Steels Corner House
Located close to the seafront in Cleethorpes providing the best fish and chips in the region or at least Jan and Richard think so!
Their menu claims that the typical years shopping includes 6,500 stone of haddock fillets and 100 tons of potatoes!
Absolutely fantastic, but sadly not good for wheelchair access.
Mr Lees
We now have a good quality Chinese takeaway, just a few miles away, that provides a home delivery to your property at The Thomas Centre!
Be sure that you tell them which property you are in when you order as deliveries to our house could go missing!
