Shoppaholics
While we may not have the supersize shopping centres, Lincolnshire is lucky to have a whole host of independent stores selling the best of the best.
Pick Your Own Fruit
Within walking distance our neighbours the Brader family run a ‘pick your own’ business. They grow strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and other fruits and vegetables. They also run a small farm shop.
15 minutes drive away: Louth
Louth is a small market town and to date has done an excellent job of keeping most of the big multiples out of the town centre and has an excellent array of independent food shops and stores.
Standards are exceptionally high and Louth is fast becoming recognised as a “foodie town”. As reported in The Daily Telegraph, Louth provides the best in regional food, in a similar fashion to say Ludlow. For example we have 9 butchers in the town, some excellent delicatessen such as Beaumonts and a fantastic Cheese Shop.
In addition there are a host of clothes and home independent stores, including Eve and Ranshaw, an independent department store. Louth is the perfect market town to pick up some unique buys.
Lakings of Louth
One excellent local butcher is Lakins, their choice of meats is excellent and gluten free options are available! Highest quality Lincolnshire Beef, hung for a minimum of three weeks always available.
Beaumont’s Deli
Unique fine food and drink from carefully selected local, national and European producers. Beaumont’s Deli provides an indulgent experience for those seeking to treat themselves or their friends and family.
Meridian Meats
Jim was recently a finalist in BBC’s Young Butcher of the Year and has brought new zest to traditional breeds of cattle such as the Longhorn which are passionately reared by Jim’s family farm.
The Cheese Shop
An artisan delicatessen selling the highest quality British and Continental Cheeses, Deli Products and Ports, as well as savoury and sweet tarts, scones, and biscuits daily.
Lucks of Louth
Specialising mainly in country clothing, including brands such as Barbour, Fairfax and Favour, Dubarry, and Radley, there is something for everyone. This is a shop to take your time in and enjoy browsing, and maybe purchasing an item or three.
Damselfly
With a number of stores in Louth, including Damselfly interiors and Damselfly kitchen, Damselfly is home to unique interior accessories and gifts. Their range includes handmade items from local crafts people.
25 minutes drive away: Grimsby
The main shopping attraction for Grimsby is Freshney Place which is an indoor shopping centre with many of the major high street brands such as Next, Marks and Spencers and Topshop. Convenient access with large multistory car parks nearby make it perfect for a rainy day.
50 minutes away: Lincoln
Lincoln provides all the premium brands, set in this beautiful historical city, as well as a host of independent stores in the Bailgate area, which surrounds the castle and cathedral.
