Wheelchair Friendly Basketball
Siggy, and Shubhanna and their two children, Ibraheem and Yaqub from Stirling in Scotland, have been coming to The Thomas centre since 2014.
In fact, this year is their 8th visit!
We have known for some time that Ibraheem was serious about his basketball.
However our old basketball area was just on grass, which is not the best for wheelchair users like Siggy, who also likes to shoot some hoops!
So this year, we did something about it and Derrick created a new concrete pad.
To celebrate the families arrival, on Monday, we formally unveiled “Siggy’s Yard”!
Pictured in the group photo are the Hussain-Ahmed family (centre) together with the Bramley-Aherne family (left), who have also become regular visitors.
We always try and keep updating activities at The Thomas Centre to meet the needs of 0ur visitors and provide new activities for the many families and groups that visit us year on year
